Suit of Pentacles

Pentacles are the earth of the tarot deck. They deal with what you can touch: money, work, home, health and the slow patient growth of anything real. When Pentacles ground a reading, the cards are talking about the material world — and your roots in it.
What the suit means
In traditional tarot, the Suit of Pentacles (also called Coins or Disks) corresponds to the element of earth. Its cards govern finances, career, craftsmanship, the body and security. They appear wherever value is built, lost, shared or protected.
The suit grows from the seed of opportunity in the Ace through skill, hardship and generosity in the middle cards to the lasting legacy of the Ten. Together they describe prosperity not as luck, but as something cultivated.
Core themes
Reversed energy
Reversed, Pentacles point to material imbalance: financial insecurity, overwork, greed, neglect of the body or value measured only in numbers. The ground is still there — it asks to be tended differently.
The court cards
The Pentacles court embodies earth as personality: the Page's eager studiousness, the Knight's methodical reliability, the Queen's nurturing practicality and the King's seasoned abundance.
